Among items accepted (free): Herbicides, fertilizers, automotive oils and fuels, paint, stains, batteries, products with mercury, chlorine products, rat/mouse poison, bleach, 4-foot fluorescent tubes, solvents and items related to insulin use (in containers that the waste center provides).

Tires off the rim, from any vehicles up to a light pickup truck, are accepted from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the first and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
Items not accepted: Ammunition, explosives, radioactive material, biological wastes, biohazards.

Those dropping off items must be county residents and have a driver's license, property tax statement or voter registration card to verify.
